A sober concept that is about nothing more than extracting as much value as possible from a raw material (or an idea, labor, or resource) and then selling it. Usually as profitably as possible.

Sounds reasonable? Maybe..

But it’s also just sad 😢

Because in this principle, one thing often falls by the wayside: true value.

Value creation is old news, we’re talking about appreciation

At Kakao Mischa, we follow a different principle. One that isn’t based on profit maximization, but on connection.

On mindfulness.

And, as you might have guessed, on appreciation 🙌

We call it our appreciation chain. It doesn’t start at the point of sale, not with the packaging or transportation, but with Mother Earth herself 🌱

Every link counts: from seed to cup

In our appreciation chain, every element is truly seen, respected, and honored:

• The soil where the cacao seed is planted is not poisoned with chemicals, but lovingly fertilized naturally.
• The varieties we use are not high-performance monocultures, but native, original cacao strains that thrive in ecological agroforestry systems.
• The farmers who cultivate this cacao are not exploited, but paid fairly and in many cases even given a share.
• Processing is carried out as gently as possible to maintain quality and preserve the energy of the cacao.
• Transport? Either climate-neutral or even climate-positive. 🚲🌍
• Our manufactory? A place of gratitude. Every bean processed there passes through a field of appreciation and conscious craftsmanship ☺️

Until the cacao finally comes to you and you hold it in your hands, with a quiet—or perhaps a loud—thank you 🙏

Why does this matter? Because your consumption counts

We believe:

Cacao can only be good for your heart if it harms no one on its journey.

Not the Earth.

Not the people.

Not the plants.

And imagine if this principle could be applied to all the products of our time. How many problems would be solved if we didn’t just “create value,” but valued what we have?
