Awajun: Exclusively at Kakao Mischa

In the heart of Peru, where the Andes meet the jungle, originates this mild yet vibrant cacao. The Awajún, indigenous people of these mountainous tropics, base their sovereignty on this cacao.

For thanks to it, they can preserve their rainforest exactly as it was passed down to them by their ancestors.

May it also grant you self-determination in your being.

Your new favorite hot chocolate?

As the newest cacao in our range, the Awajun cacao has taken the hearts of our community (and mine) by storm.

Its gentle, chocolatey note creates feelings of happiness on the tongue.

Most popular: Our 500g block - simply chop it up with a knife and stir it into your milk alternative.

By the way, the Awajun cacao is only available at Kakao Mischa - a truly special taste experience that you won't find anywhere else.

We were there.

It is a great joy and honor to welcome another indigenous cacao into our assortment. Especially because the impact of its cultivation is so profound, granting an entire people, the Awajun, sovereignty over their land.

And with the purchase of their cacao, you bring that sovereignty into your cup.
