At Kakao Mischa, it all begins with appreciation.

It is the compass for everything we do – from the cocoa bean to your cup. Our cocoa is grown in biodiverse agroforestry systems, harvested and processed with care by indigenous communities, and brought to you mindfully.

We call this path our chain of appreciation – because along it, no person, no action, and not even Mother Earth is overlooked.

For we believe: Only when cocoa is nurtured with integrity can it exert its full power. Its energy remains palpable – as a fine, vibrant frequency that touches the heart.

  • We are transparent

    TRACEABILITY TO THE FARMER

Individual farmers are responsible for ensuring our cocoa thrives in its tropical, shaded home. They are grouped into cooperatives that help them pass on their beans as gently and effectively as possible. Our cocoa beans and cocoa mass experience true adventures on their journey to our hallowed halls in Neubrunn near Würzburg. The family harvest is merely the beginning of an intercontinental journey that we can trace all the way back to the cocoa tree.

  • We promote biodiversity

Authentic and single-origin, our cocoa varieties protect adjacent rainforests

With the help of our partner organization Original Beans, we support the preservation of the rainforest and cocoa biodiversity, preventing native cocoa varieties from becoming extinct.

Being sustainable is not enough, because what our Earth needs is active regeneration with our help. Through our partner's long-term approaches, it is ensured that endangered animal and plant species will still have a home in 50 years.

  • We work fairly

Living incomes as well as long-term and loving partnerships with smallholder farmers

In our collaboration, cocoa farmers are compensated with stable and high prices that are more than just fair. Through regular visits to the cultivation regions, we ensure that everything is running smoothly on-site and show our appreciation for the hard and persistent work of our South American partners.

Appreciation begins in the countries of origin.

  • We protect the climate

Organic farming, agroforestry and other measures to bring our world into balance

Along our climate-friendly path, we have many other allies for sustainability, consciousness and love in the world. Whether it's about packaging, shipping or the production of our cocoa. The cocoa beans from our partner Original Beans have a net-negative CO2 “foodprint”. You can naturally taste that in our cocoa, and perhaps even smell it.

  • We are strengthening cocoa culture.

By promoting local cocoa consumption and providing financial support to indigenous cultures

At Kakao Mischa, in addition to the familiar aspects of agriculture and transport, we also care deeply about the intention and energetics of the cocoa we cultivate. The fundamental idea is that this fruit, a gift from nature, only truly reaches us if there has been no compromise in integrity along the way. Otherwise, this inevitably leads to a loss of the cocoa’s potent primal frequency. (cf. Hawkins Scale).

This is something sensitive souls can feel when enjoying our cocoa.
    Perhaps you can, too?

Our Partners

Kakao Mischa is not a one-man show. In addition to our strong fairy team, many wonderful cooperation and regeneration partners accompany us on our path toward a heart-centered world. Among them are Original Beans from Holland and Selmi from Italy.

Collaboration with Original Beans

What began with a few bean samples in 2020 has developed into a deep cooperation and friendship. Firmly convinced of Original Beans as a partner for sustainable and regenerative cocoa, it is a matter close to my heart to work together with them to protect rainforests, preserve heirloom cocoa varieties, and strengthen cocoa culture.

In 2021, I set off for South America to meet bean expert Jan Schubert and travel together through two of the most exciting regions of origin. I was able to experience firsthand how the experts at Original Beans cultivate personal connections with remote farmers and present them with the chocolate made from their own cocoa beans. A moving experience, which was further expanded in 2023 by visiting the regions of our Piura Blanco and Chuncho cacao.

Today, I know from experience about the care and efficacy of Original Beans and feel a strong resonance with their vision. Therefore, an expansion of our cooperation as well as further cocoa journeys with the Kakao Mischa team and ambassadors of our cocoa are planned.

Perhaps you will be part of such a journey one day?

Collaboration with Norandino

During my visit, I was able to observe that the cocoa experts at Norandino in Piura know exactly how a cocoa bean can bring out its incomparable flavor even better, without losing a hint of its effect or energy.

Norandino is an organization with social, economic, and ecological responsibility that contributes to the strengthening and improvement of affiliated organizations and families, thereby promoting regional development. Norandino has focused on the production of coffee, cocoa, and cane sugar. To better meet the challenges of climate change, Norandino is now investing in agroforestry consulting with the help of the HAND IN HAND fund – for even more stable, biodiverse ecosystems in cultivation.
