What really makes ceremonial cacao special?
And what happens when people, the forest, and cacao are in deep connection?
In our Awajún info session, Mischa speaks with Jan Schubert of Original Beans about the development, origin, and significance of an extraordinary cacao: the Awajún cacao from Peru.

Who are the Awajún?
The Awajún are an indigenous people in the Peruvian rainforest.
Together with Original Beans, they are recultivating degraded land—with the goal of bringing back the rainforest instead of exploiting it.
Through agroforestry, a high-quality, ceremonial cacao is created that does good not only for your heart, but for the planet as well.
A cacao with heart – for your ceremony at home
The taste of this cacao is as clear as its origin – gentle, spicy, earthy, and full of presence.

Mischa talks about his journey to the Awajún village.
Jan shares his decades of experience with cacao, forest projects & the question:
What does it actually mean to truly be in relationship with a product?
"This cacao is not a trend – it is an invitation to connection."
