Kakao Mischa is setting new standards for ecological responsibility and upcycling with a luxurious, detail-oriented aesthetic: The Würzburg-based cocoa manufacturer proudly presents its new packaging line – sensual, luxurious, ecological, and responsible.

In collaboration with packaging specialist Karl Knauer, a unique packaging solution was created for these high-quality cocoa products, embodying sustainability and aesthetics in every fiber. The innovative “Crush Cacao” cardboard material consists of up to 15% cocoa bean shells, a byproduct of chocolate production, and deliberately avoids the usual PE coating. Instead, an eco-friendly, food-grade coating protects the cocoa while meeting the highest hygiene requirements. This successfully combines resource-efficient material use with exclusive design. “From cultivation and harvest to packaging, we at Kakao Mischa prioritize sustainability and appreciation throughout the entire production chain,” explains Mischa Levit, founder of Kakao Mischa.

With this new packaging collection, Kakao Mischa makes a statement for luxury in harmony with nature, creating an experience that goes far beyond taste. “Crush Cacao” is an eco-friendly packaging solution that impresses with its unique texture and feel, while leaving a lasting impression. The packaging is not only beautiful but also practical: stackable and robust, it is ideal for secure shipping, saves space, and yet shines with attention to detail. This is evident in the artistic elements of the packaging, developed by designer Maike Kilian and artfully staged by photographer Lia Lohrer. In addition to the luxurious look, the packaging is accentuated by silver and gold embossing, giving the small “treasure chests” an exclusive character. The collection includes four different caskets that together form an artistic collectible.
