There are festivals where you go back home after a few days.

And then there is New Healing.

A place where for a week people meet, stories are shared, children dash across the meadow, someone is playing music somewhere, there’s laughter next door, and you sometimes meet someone with whom you talk as if you’ve known each other for years.

For us, New Healing is exactly that kind of place. And every year, we ask ourselves: How can a festival actually have so much heart?

And right in the middle of it: Roger. 🚚🤎

Our bright red cacao truck is parked somewhere between music, dancing, workshops, sunsets, and all the little stories that unfold during a festival week. And somehow, everything we could wish for always happens around Roger.

People stop by, perhaps at first just for a cacao, as a warm drink, but as soon as the cacao magic spreads, something so unique is allowed to emerge. Deep conversations about dreams, fresh starts, relationships, feelings. About what is currently moving you and wants to be expressed. And sometimes, people just laugh and dance together.

We love these encounters 🥰

Because every person who stands in front of our truck brings their own unique story with them. It is precisely this diversity that makes the atmosphere around Roger so special to us.

A week of community living

New Healing is more than music and more than a festival program. It is a temporary way of living together. People of all different ages, with the most diverse paths in life, come together here. Families, couples, friends, solo travelers, old festival hands, and people who are diving into this world for the first time. And although everyone walks their own path, an incredible harmony emerges from it.

Nobody has to be the same here. Nobody has to have the same story. Nobody has to be at the same place in life, and yet a connection is formed. Sometimes in a deep conversation, sometimes while dancing together, sometimes during breakfast in the sun, and sometimes over a cup of cacao in front of our truck. 🙌

New Healing calls it a gathering to learn, grow, and exchange ideas together. To us, it feels above all like living community. Like a place where people truly see one another.

And then, of course, there is the cacao … 🌿

Whoever visits Roger doesn't just get any old cacao 😏

We love constantly rediscovering our cacao creations and combining Mama Cacao with different spices and ingredients.

For the festivals, we therefore brought along five very different creations.

🌎 Pacha Mama: Hot, grounding, and spicy. A cup for arriving. For catching your breath. For planting your feet on the ground.

🔥 Ceremonial: Hot, intense, and fiery. For those who like it a bit stronger and want to consciously embrace the full effect of the cacao.

💘 Cupid’s Arrow: This one goes straight to the heart, but we’d rather not reveal any more than that for now, hehe 😇

🌬️ Alma: Cold, flowing, and wonderfully light. The cacao for warm festival days, sweaty dances, and anyone in the mood for a slightly different cacao experience.

🧊 Chocolate Iced Tea: Yesss, our cacao husks get to join the party, too. Refreshing, chocolaty, and just the thing for a little cooling down in between.

What exactly is in our different creations?

That remains our little Roger secret. 🤫 After all, a little bit of magic must remain. To discover all the ingredients, you’ll have to visit us next year at various festivals 😚

From small parties to big celebrations 💃

When we stand in front of our cacao truck today and see how people come together, drink, laugh, and talk with each other, we sometimes have to pause for a moment ourselves.

Because that is exactly why Roger started rolling in the first place.

In the beginning, there were small parties, a bit of cacao, and a big idea. The idea of bringing people together with this special plant. During his very first cacao experience in Peru, Mischa had a vision of a colorful truck traveling the world with cacao and bringing people together. From this idea, Roger was born, and from small parties, Kakao Mischa was gradually able to grow. 🤎

Today, this red truck stands at festivals all over Germany. And in front of it stand people we have never seen before.

People who tell us their stories.

People who drink their first cacao.

People who come back every year.

People who have since become part of our community.

When we think about that, it honestly leaves us pretty speechless and, at the same time, incredibly proud 🥰

New Healing 2026 was the final festival stop of this season for us.

And while Roger is now slowly rolling into hibernation, we are taking quite a lot back home with us. New stories, new friendships, countless hugs, cacao stains on our clothes, and that very special feeling of having once again experienced what can emerge when people come together and simply have a good time.

We are grateful for every single encounter. For every person who stopped at Roger, for every cacao we were able to serve, and for all the small and large moments we could never have planned. Perhaps that is exactly the most beautiful part of our work:

We never quite know who will stand in front of our truck. But we know that genuine connection is allowed to happen there.

2027, here we come. 🚚✨
