What is Sacred Soma?

The word Soma means "the body" in Greek. For us, the body is not just a shell, but a living temple through which we feel, perceive, and connect with ourselves.

Sacred Soma was born from the collaborative work of Gwen and Sofia at SOMA Space Hamburg—a studio that acts like a small oasis in the middle of the city. A space that guides people back into presence, body awareness, and expression.

Together with Kakao Mischa, this has resulted in a journey that combines ceremonial cacao with somatic practice.

Mama Cacao – Heart-opening plant power

Ceremonial cacao has its roots in the cultures of Mesoamerica, in regions of present-day Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru. For many indigenous cultures, cacao was never just food—but a valuable plant of connection.

Today, cacao is often lovingly called Mama Cacao.

On a physical level, too, cacao brings special qualities. It contains, among other things:

Theobromine, which gently stimulates the cardiovascular system
