There are people who don't just see how something looks – they feel how it should feel. Maike is one of those people.

As our Art Director, she has guided Kakao Mischa with such sensitivity that I sometimes think: She didn't just design our brand, she gave it a soul. From the first tentative step to the premium brand I am proud of every single day – Maike was there. With a paintbrush, a heart, and an instinct that cannot be taught.

The fact that she also writes and illustrates children's books – colorful, animal-filled, and full of life – doesn't surprise me one bit. And the fact that she moved to the countryside to tend to her garden and take a deep breath doesn't either. Maike brings nature into everything she touches.

And I am so glad that she touched us, too.
