Josef is a calming influence. Often so calm that it drives me crazy. So calm that I am confronted with my own restlessness. What a gift!

First as a casual worker in the cocoa factory and now as a roommate and very good friend, Josef is a Zen angel. His mostly balanced, level-headed nature, coupled with his manual skills and deep connection to the forest, paint a picture of a man at peace with himself. Able to act when necessary and always from within.

These qualities, which I learn to appreciate more and more every day, are what distinguish Josef and make him such an important pillar of our cocoa community.

As a tree care specialist and wilderness educator, he is called upon to bring the forest closer to people and to revive the connection between people and nature on an experiential level. A noble path that has never been as important as it is now in our time.

This sensitivity and closeness to nature is also reflected in Josef's love of electronic music. His connection finds danceable expression in the form of spherical sounds and deep basses.
